Relationships are easy without challenges, however challenges will arise and when they do relationships can feel difficult and disappointing.
Learning how to manage those challenges and to be able to discuss them openly and freely with your partner is the key to a happy relationship where both feel supported and heard. This is where couples counselling can help as you will here each others' point of view in a safe environment.

Some of the challenges could be:
* a new baby
* bereavement
* financial problems
* illness
* blended families

There could also be personal challenges that affect the relationship such as jealousy, abandonment issues and affairs. This can create feelings of anxiety, depression and despair.
